The Phocas Technical Associate Certification is designed for any technical resource implementing Phocas solutions. By completing this training, you'll gain the skills to:

  • Implement a standard Phocas solution using flat files

  • Navigate Phocas Admin and Analytics

  • Install Sync ETL

  • Upload flat files into a Phocas environment

  • Create basic financial statements by mapping accounts and creating different views

This certification lays the foundation for the next level, the Phocas Technical Professional Certification (available in 3–6 months), which will cover advanced implementation, customization (API, SQL, ODBC, flat files, etc.), and deeper financial statements and budgeting & forecasting training.

Exam requirements & tips for success

Format: Open book with access to Phocas platform
Duration: 30 minutes
Questions: 50 multiple choice questions selected at random
Passing Score: 70% (35 correct answers)
Retake Policy: Unlimited retakes available
Prerequisites: Complete all training modules including all quizzes and labs

  • Complete each section in order (they build upon each other)
  • Take detailed notes during training videos
  • Practice hands-on exercises
  • Review quiz questions and understand why answers are correct
  • Use the knowledge checks to identify areas needing more study
