Phocas and Epicor partnership on display at Insights 2021
The theme of the 2021 Epicor Insights event was Accelerate your knowledge, perfectly complimenting the rapid digital transformation occurring across businesses to centralize data and understand performance quickly. To highlight the ongoing partnership between the global ERP provider and Phocas, we had a strong presence at the Epicor annual conference in Las Vegas. It was our first major face-to-face event in over a year, and we loved connecting with customers and introducing the new Financial Statement and budget and forecast solutions to attendees.
More than 2000 Epicor customers and partners were present, and Epicor used the occasion to reinforce the re-naming of its core ERP from Epicor to Kinetic. All companies present were highlighting the benefits of storing information in the cloud so businesses can access data anywhere and people can be productive at home or in the office.
The Phocas team led sessions for many businesses that already use Epicor Data Analytics (EDA) powered by Phocas. We also met with organizations that are interested in integrating their version of Epicor Prophet 21, Epicor Eclipse and Kinetic Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP) with data analytics or adding our new Financial Statement and Budgeting and Forecasting solutions.
It was an exciting and busy week; here are some highlights.
17 product feature sessions
It was a team effort presenting many sessions throughout the week, we demonstrated the product live in several places, including sessions on "Financial Statement and Budgeting and Forecasting” which were the most popular. In total, our experts presented 17 breakout sessions throughout the conference.
John Sefton and Brenna Dwyer spoke specifically about dashboard features customers can’t live without and Tim Leonard presented many of the sessions about the new Financial Statements Budgeting and Forecasting solutions. He referred to the software’s ability to help finance teams provide companywide financial analysis without losing control of the general ledger. Customers advised of the need to report more frequently so they can keep an eye on cash flow.
Two of our customers took part in a Q&A
Daron Brown, Business Analyst at the FD Lawrence Electric Company took to the main stage for a Q+ A session. Daron spoke about the way Eclipse and EDA combine to allow users to carry out data mining and pull out information that is useful to their work. Daron says all the team at F.D Lawrence try to make all decisions based on analytical information. He is also the president of the Epicor Eclipse user group in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Matt Dana, the Epicor Prophet Application Lead from Munch's Supply also spoke at the event.
Many product demos
At the Phocas booth, we ran hundreds of demonstrations and connected with customers and met many new people.
Everyone benefited from the 4-day experience as it helped to deepen ties between Phocas and Epicor and the ongoing collaboration allows us to continue to develop solutions that help customers become more successful.
